KORSCH AG has introduced the X 5 Tablet Press, an advanced single-sided rotary press that significantly enhances productivity in tablet manufacturing. Launched at Interpack 2023, the X 5 offers a 20% higher output than its predecessor, the XL 400, while maintaining a compact footprint. It comes in two versions, with the X 5 SFP providing single-layer capability and the X 5 MFP offering single-layer, bi-layer, and tri-layer flexibility. The innovative segmented die table design allows for efficient customization of tablet size and shape.

The X 5 features exchangeable turret technology for fast transitions between products, precision tablet weight control, and a large compression zone for streamlined changeovers. With advanced features like an integrated electrical cabinet, torque drive, and fully sealed design, the X 5 minimizes noise and vibration. It is Pharma 4.0 ready, providing smart metrics-monitoring features for manufacturing optimization through diagnostics and data analysis. The open architecture control system facilitates integration with central networks, and the machine can leverage cloud solutions for OEE assessment and predictive maintenance.
