A mathematical expression delineating the relationship between the tensile strength of tablets and compaction pressure was formulated using the equations initially suggested by Ryshkewitch and Kuentz-Leuenberger. This equation was applied to analyze data from 11 powders, including both single-component powders and mixtures, showcasing a broad range of mechanical properties. By fitting the tensile strength-compaction pressure data, three parameters were directly obtained, with one parameter representing the apparent bonding strength and another exhibiting a noteworthy correlation with plasticity.
