The Stylcam, a rotary tablet press simulator equipped with a single pair of standard punches, is particularly advantageous in the initial phases of development due to its requirement for minimal powder quantities. The force-time profiles of a Fette 102i and the simulated profiles on the Stylcam exhibit noteworthy similarities in terms of the time lag between pre- and main compaction and the progression of the main compaction curve, especially at various velocities.
