This study aimed to formulate Metformin HCI 500 mg tablets using the Direct Compression (DC) method, selecting appropriate excipients, and evaluating the formulation outcomes. In order to achieve an optimized formulation comparable to the marketed product, a science-based approach known as Quality by Design (QbD) was implemented.
