Introduction: Mannitol (MAN) serves as a polymorphic excipient (α-, β-, δ-MAN) frequently utilized in tablet formulations. Although delta-mannitol (δ-MAN) exhibits superior compaction behavior, achieving consistent and scalable production poses a challenge. Paracetamol (PCM), a widely used analgesic and antipyretic, presents difficulties in tabletting within high-dose formulations due to capping. Objectives: Enhance the compressibility and tabletability of paracetamol-mannitol (PCM-MAN) formulations through the generation of δ-MAN via co-spray drying.
